Syria's close ally Russia has stepped up its military presence in the region announcing it is sending two warships to the Eastern Mediterranean.But the country insists it is a routine exercise and has nothing to do with the possibility of military action by the west.Al Jazeera's Peter Sharpe reports from Moscow.
