Hecklers Interrupt House GOP Presser: 'You Guys Are Worthless' - (October 1, 2013)
October 1, 2013 - The House Republicans appeared before the press on Tuesday in front of the Capitol Building to address the government shutdown. During the press conference, a group of hecklers attacked the Republicans hurling insults and saying that the GOP cannot govern the country. "You guys are worthless," one heckler said. "At 1 o'clock last night, we gave them everything that they wanted," declared Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) as a heckler tore into the GOP. "We gave them the chance to sit down and they turned us down."
This explanation failed to satisfy the hecklers who continued to pepper the Republicans with insults.
