The Rise & Fall of the Nephilim

Paranormal investigator and author Scotty Roberts his research into the Nephilim and
their origins. He explained that his investigation of the infamous entities focused
on the language of the original Hebrew texts where they are described. As such, he
dismissed the popular notion that the Nephilim were "fallen angels," since the entities
are never given that moniker. Rather, they are said to be the result of a union between
"watchers" and humans. Roberts theorized that the creation of the Nephilim could be traced all the way back to the Garden of Eden and a dalliance between Eve and an entity metaphorically called a "serpent." As to the origins of these "visitors" who played a hand in creating the Nephilim, he acknowledged that they could have been spiritual beings, "minor Gods," or even extraterrestrials.

Ultimately, Roberts said, these Nephilim are blamed for corrupting the human race by sharing forbidden knowledge with them, a theme appears in many creation stories. In light of this corruption, he surmised, the great flood of Noah's Ark lore was orchestrated not to punish the corrupt humans, but to wipe away the presence of the Nephilim on Earth. However, Roberts suggested that the Nephilim may still be on the planet as what we call "demons." He cited a passage in the book of Enoch which says that the "spirits" of the Nephilim that died in the flood remained on Earth in a ghostly form to "wreak the same havoc, from a spirit form, on humanity that they wreaked while in physical form."

Fallen angel is a concept that is typically synonymous with a wicked or rebellious angel. As the actual term fallen angel is not found in either the Hebrew Bible or the Deuterocanonical Books or the New Testament, biblical commentators use this term to describe angels who sinned or angels cast down to the earth from the War in Heaven, Satan, demons, or certain Watchers.

The cornerstone of the free market system is the law of supply and demand. This is the premise that governs how the prices of resources are determined in any free market economy as opposed to prices being set by government edict or monopoly control. It is the mechanism by which resources are produced and consumed in the freest and most efficient manner. Here’s a great definition of this law from the Free Dictionary – “the theory that prices are determined by the interaction of supply and demand: an increase in supply will lower prices if not accompanied by increased demand, and an increase in demand will raise prices unless accompanied by increased supply.”

There are three components to the law – supply, demand and price. Price serves as the fulcrum between supply and demand, balancing the two. But the important point is that the interplay between supply and demand is what determines the price. That’s elementary and spelled out in the above definition; a free market price means the price is determined by supply and demand. This is the definition we expect our children learn in school. Unfortunately, this definition is old-fashioned and no longer operative in gold and silver and other commodities. Instead a new definition of the law of supply and demand has supplanted the version still in the dictionary.
Simply put, the new law of supply and demand has the price determining supply and demand and not vice-versa as it should be. This may sound like a game of words at first blush, but it goes to the heart of the matter. When price determines how much is produced and consumed, instead of supply and demand being the determinant of price, that’s just another way of describing price manipulation. All our laws against manipulation and the restraint of free trade are aimed at preventing an artificial price from coming into existence. That’s because it is well-known that an artificial price will adversely impact production and consumption and cause overall harm to society. An artificial high price must lead to over-production and under-consumption and an eventual price crash, while an artificial low price must result in an eventual shortage and price explosion.
There is undeniable proof that the recent price action on the COMEX in gold and silver is the new and manipulative version of the law and supply and demand. There was no big increase in production or weakening of demand for gold or silver leading to sharply lower prices; instead the price decline, due to speculative selling of futures contracts, is determining what will be produced and consumed in the future. Speculative selling on the COMEX has resulted in prices low enough to threaten mine production and encourage increased demand (especially investment demand).

Biography:

Bart D. Ehrman is the James A. Gray Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He came to UNC in 1988, after four years of teaching at Rutgers University. At UNC he has served as both the Director of Graduate Studies and the Chair of the Department of Religious Studies.

A graduate of Wheaton College (Illinois), Professor Ehrman received both his Masters of Divinity and Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary, where his 1985 doctoral dissertation was awarded magna cum laude. Since then he has published extensively in the fields of New Testament and Early Christianity, having written or edited twenty-one books, numerous scholarly articles, and dozens of book reviews.

Ehrman has written widely on issues of New Testament and early Christianity at both an academic and popular level, with over twenty books including three New York Times bestsellers (Misquoting Jesus, God's Problem, and Jesus, Interrupted). Much of his work is on textual criticism and the New Testament. His first book was Didymus the Blind and the Text of the Gospels (1987) followed by several books published by the Oxford University Press, including The Orthodox Corruption of Scripture, and a new edition and translation of The Apostolic Fathers in the Loeb Classical Library series published by Harvard University Press. In God's Problem Ehrman discusses the problem of evil and suffering, the issue which he says led him to become agnostic. His book Jesus, Interrupted critically assesses the New Testament documents and early Christianity. In his book Forged which was released in 2011, he asserts that 11 or more books of the Christian New Testament were essentially politically expeditious forgeries, intended to advance various theological positions and were in fact not written by the authors traditionally ascribed to them.

In 1999 Jesus: Apocalyptic Prophet of the New Millennium was released as a study on the historical Jesus. Ehrman argues that the historical Jesus was an apocalyptic preacher, and that his apocalyptic beliefs are recorded in the earliest Christian documents: the Gospel of Mark and the authentic Pauline epistles. The earliest Christians believed Jesus would soon return, and their beliefs are echoed in the earliest Christian writings. In this, Ehrman follows the dominant scholarly consensus among secular scholars since Albert Schweitzer advanced a version of that thesis in 1905. In his foreword to the book, Ehrman notes that there are many popular books for the layman advancing various minority theories, such as Jesus as a wisdom-sage, shaman, magician, or even founder of a mushroom cult, but few popular books for laymen advancing the dominant scholarly consensus. This book was intended to correct that gap.

Much of Ehrman's writing has concentrated on various aspects of Walter Bauer's thesis that Christianity was always diversified or at odds with itself. Ehrman is often considered a pioneer in connecting the history of the early church to textual variants within biblical manuscripts and in coining such terms as "Proto-orthodox Christianity." Ehrman brought this counter-traditional thesis, and textual criticism in general, to the lay public through his popular-level work, Misquoting Jesus.

In 2012, Ehrman published Did Jesus Exist? defending the thesis that Jesus of Nazareth existed in contrast to the mythicist theory that Jesus is an entirely mythical or fictitious being woven whole-cloth out of legendary material. He states he expects the book to be criticized both by some atheists as well as fundamentalist Christians. In response, Richard Carrier published a lengthy criticism of the book in April 2012, particularly questioning both Ehrman's facts and methodology. Ehrman replied to Carrier's criticisms on his website, primarily defending himself against Carrier's allegations of factual errors.

Nostradamus, Denver Airport & The Georgia Guidestones

Filmmaker and scholar Jay Weidner spoke about 2012 and prophecy, as well as mysteries surrounding the Georgia Guidestones and the Denver Airport. A series of interrelated prophecies are all pointing toward one time period, around 2012, as being a time of crucial change, possibly connected with our sun, he said. The decreasing heliosphere of the sun leaves Earth with less of a buffer from potentially dangerous elements from outer space such as cosmic rays, he noted.

Weidner perceives 2012 as an alchemical moment for humanity to decide who or what it wants to be. On a positive note, he foresees a possibility for the populace to live in semi-rural conditions in a more slowed down fashion, yet still connected via the Internet. A more negative outcome would see society turned into a "techno-fascist nightmare" with robocops and cameras on every corner, he warned. People need to figure out how to manage in a world of increasing scarcity, he commented.

In discussing the Georgia Guidestones, he doesn't interpret the commandment about maintaining the Earth's population as a call to exterminate people. Rather, he suggested the monument could be part of an alchemical mythos, helping to bring about a new consciousness. The Denver Airport appears to be connected to COG (continuity of government) with underground facilities that could withstand a nuclear war, Weidner reported. He suspects there's a gigantic tunnel system under the airport, with trains possibly running to different parts of America. Denver, he added, could be slated to become the capitol of an eventual North American Union.

In addition, he is the co-author of The Mysteries of the Great Cross of Hendaye; Alchemy and the End of Time, (Destiny Books) and A Monument to the End of Time (with Vincent Bridges), as well as a contributing writer for the book, The Mystery of 2012 (Sounds True).

The Georgia Guidestones is a large granite monument in Elbert County, Georgia, USA. A message clearly conveying a set of ten guidelines is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages, and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient languages' scripts: Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and Egyptian hieroglyphs.

The Guidestones have become a subject of interest for conspiracy theorists. One of them, an activist named Mark Dice, demanded that the Guidestones "be smashed into a million pieces, and then the rubble used for a construction project", claiming that the Guidestones are of "a deep Satanic origin", and that R. C. Christian, belongs to "a Luciferian secret society" related to the New World Order. At the unveiling of the monument, a local minister proclaimed that he believed the monument was "for sun worshipers, for cult worship and for devil worship".

2012
A New Age interpretation of this transition is that this date marks the start of time in which Earth and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era. Others suggest that the 2012 date marks the end of the world or a similar catastrophe. Scenarios suggested for the end of the world include the arrival of the next solar maximum, or Earth's collision with an object such as a black hole, a passing asteroid, or a planet called "Nibiru".

Denver Airport
There are several conspiracy theories relating to the airport's design and construction such as the runways being laid out in a shape similar to a swastika. Murals painted in the baggage claim area have been claimed to contain themes referring to future military oppression and a one-world government. However, the artist, Leo Tanguma, said
the murals, entitled "In Peace and Harmony With Nature" and "The Children of the World Dream of Peace," depict man-made environmental destruction and genocide along with humanity coming together to heal nature and live in peace.



Nostradamus
Michel de Nostredame (14 or 21 December 1503 -- 2 July 1566), usually Latinised as Nostradamus, was a French apothecary and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide. He is best known for his book Les Propheties (The Prophecies), the first edition of which appeared in 1555. Since the
publication of this book, which has rarely been out of print since his death, Nostradamus has attracted a following that, along with much of the popular press, credits him with predicting many major world events.

Biblical History, Prophecies, and Discoveries ~ Dr. Ken Hanson

Professor, author and researcher, Dr. Ken Hanson, spoke about biblical history, prophecies, and discoveries, as well as shared his analysis of the Middle East, and the potential for apocalyptic events. Having previously lived in Israel and the Middle East for a number of years, he has a foreboding sense that a cataclysmic war is on the verge of breaking out there, possibly involving Iran and Israel. Interestingly, he noted that Jews and Arabs have not always been at odds, and that the current enmity is not based on ancient feuds or disagreement over religion. He argued that the best solution to the Palestinian refugee problem is for Arab governments to resettle this population in one of the 22 states surrounding Israel; yet they refuse, because keeping them where they are fills their political purpose, he said.


Hanson talked about the prophecies in the Book of Revelation, noting that it was written in Greek, yet he believes that it was a translation from an earlier Hebrew or Aramaic text from the 1st century. The early believers in Jesus thought they were living in 'End Times' as they were facing down the Roman Empire, and Revelation directly spoke to them, he commented. In the year 66 AD, Jews sought their freedom from Rome and revolted, and many of the calamities described in Revelation relate to the Roman's brutal attack on Israel, which was also described by the historian Josephus.

While the Vatican has said that a recent discovery of a 4th century papyrus that refers to Jesus' wife is a forgery, Hanson noted that Carbon 14 dating and other testing has yet to be done on the fragment, and it's possible that it is authentic. The genuineness of the James Ossuary, an ancient burial box, with an Aramaic inscription, translated as "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus," is still being debated some 10 years after the discovery was announced, he added. Bigfoot & The Other Legendary Creatures

Scholar of Bigfoot history, Steven Streufert, shared history and analysis of the mysterious creature. He runs a used and antiquarian bookshop (specializing in "Sasquatchiana") in Willow Creek, California, considered the heart of the historic "Bigfoot Country,"-- the location is near where giant tracks were found in 1958, and "Bigfoot" subsequently became a household word. Willow Creek is also near where the famed Patterson-Gimlin film was shot in 1967, and Streufert has been involved in the Bluff Creek Film Site Project, which has traced the exact location of where Patterson filmed, in order to verify details about the creature, and its environment. He also participates in a Facebook group that seeks to promote the spirit of rational thinking and evidence-based Bigfoot research (in reaction to some of the more fantastical, insubstantial, or promotion-based claims made about the creature).


Streufert spoke about some of the ancient Native-American lore regarding Sasquatch, such as the beings speaking a language, as well as trading with, abducting, and even mating with humans, and producing offspring. One theory, he noted, is that Bigfoot are actually hybrids between humans and proto-humans. He also discussed the current Bigfoot DNA Project, spearheaded by Melba Ketchum, and a controversial case from last year when a hunter claimed he killed two Sasquatch in the central Sierra Nevada mountains, and now has "Bigfoot steaks" stashed in the freezer.

Last hour guest, cryptozoology advisor to Rue Morgue magazine, Lyle Blackburn, discussed reports of a strange beast known as the Fouke Monster that have circulated among the locals in southern Arkansas. In 1971, a family was reportedly attacked by a "big hairy monster," and within a year, there were around 50 more sightings, with descriptions of an adult creature with a narrow build. The creature became popularized as the 'Beast of Boggy Creek,' when the low budget film The Legend of Boggy Creek was released in 1972, and became a hit. The movie was indeed based on some facts, Blackburn said, who added that he considers the creature to possibly be a cross between the foul-smelling Skunk Ape and a Pacific Northwest-type Bigfoot. In 1991, a large skeleton (missing the skull) was found in the woods near Jefferson, Texas that some believe could be a Bigfoot, he added.

Willow Creek is where the name "Bigfoot" became a household word in 1958, after giant tracks were found and cast just north of the town, up in Bluff Creek. This is the same area where the famous 1967 Patterson-Gimlin film of Bigfoot was shot. Steven blogs about Bigfoot on BIGFOOT'S BLOG, and has been writing about the topic since 2007.

Lyle Blackburn is a frequent contributor and cryptozoology advisor to Rue Morgue magazine, one of the leading horror media publications in print today. He has also contributed to websites such as Cryptomundo.com, and has been a featured speaker at paranormal conferences and horror conventions around the country.

Growing up in Texas, Lyle has always been fascinated with legends, lore and sighting reports of real-life "monsters." He has studied the phenomenon in legend, fact and film, and is the author of The Beast of Boggy Creek: The True Story of the Fouke Monster.

The Annunaki, Nibiru & The Dark Star Theory

Researcher Andy Lloyd discussed his 'Dark Star Theory,' the Anunnaki & Nibiru, and Planet X, as well as his recent novel Ezekiel One. In February, he spoke at the Return of Planet X Conference held in Rome, and found that many of the Italian attendees were terrified about the possibility of a rogue planet heading our way in 2012, and suspicious that governments were covering up information about Planet X.

Lloyd's dark star theory proposes that a sub brown dwarf is a kind of companion star to our sun and exists in the far reaches of the solar system between the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud. He estimated that it's some 500 to 1,000 astronomical units away. The dark star could have vast magnetic and gravitational fields that interact with the sun, and recent anomalies detected in the outer solar system, could be evidence of its presence.

Further, the brown dwarf may be orbited by its own moons, some of which might contain life. One of these moons could be the planet referred to by Zecharia Sitchin as Niburi, the home world of the Annunaki. Lloyd incorporated the Annunaki as characters in his book Ezekiel One, exploring the idea that aliens are living among us. His novel, a conspiracy thriller, is set in the last months of 2012, and deals with government secrecy and Planet X.

He has had a long-standing interest in astronomy, and the question of the existence of Planet X, or Nibiru. Andy is the author of "Dark Star: The Planet X Evidence". He has also recently completed a novel about the Anunnaki.

The Anunnaki are a group of deities in ancient Mesopotamian cultures (i.e., Sumerian, Akkadian, Assyrian and Babylonian). Their relation to the group of gods known as the Igigi is unclear — at times the names are used synonymously but in the Atra-Hasis flood myth the Igigi are the sixth generation of the Gods who have to work for the Anunnaki, rebelling after 40 days and replaced by the creation of humans.

The Nibiru cataclysm is a supposed disastrous encounter between the Earth and a large planetary object which certain groups believe will take place in the early 21st century. Believers in this doomsday event usually refer to this object as Planet X or Nibiru. The idea that a planet-sized object could collide with or pass by Earth in the near future is not supported by any scientific evidence and has been rejected as pseudoscience by astronomers and planetary scientists.

The idea was first put forward in 1995 by Nancy Lieder, founder of the website ZetaTalk. Lieder describes herself as a contactee with the ability to receive messages from extra-terrestrials from the Zeta Reticuli star system through an implant in her brain. She states that she was chosen to warn mankind that the object would sweep through the inner Solar System in May 2003. causing Earth to undergo a pole shift that would destroy most of humanity. The prediction has subsequently spread beyond Lieder's website and has been embraced by numerous Internet doomsday groups, most of which link the event to the 2012 phenomenon. Although the name "Nibiru" is derived from the works of the late ancient astronaut writer Zecharia Sitchin and his interpretations of Babylonian and Sumerian mythology, Sitchin denied any connection between his work and various claims of a coming apocalypse.

The idea of the Nibiru encounter originated with Nancy Lieder, a Wisconsin woman who claims that as a girl she was contacted by gray extraterrestrials called Zetas, who implanted a communications device in her brain. In 1995, she founded the website ZetaTalk to disseminate her ideas. Lieder first came to public attention on Internet newsgroups during the build-up to Comet Hale--Bopp's 1997 perihelion. She stated, speaking as the Zetas, that "The Hale-Bopp comet does not exist. It is a fraud, perpetrated by those who would have the teeming masses quiescent until it is too late. Hale-Bopp is nothing more than a distant star, and will draw no closer."[3] She claimed that the Hale-Bopp story was manufactured to distract people from the imminent arrival of a large planetary object, "Planet X", which would soon pass by Earth and destroy civilization. Her claims eventually made the New York Times.

This would be followed by the Earth's pole destabilising in a pole shift (a physical pole shift, with the Earth's pole physically moving, rather than a geomagnetic reversal) caused by magnetic attraction between the Earth's core and the magnetism of the passing planet. This in turn would disrupt the Earth's magnetic core and lead to subsequent displacement of the Earth's crust.

After Lieder, the first person to propagate her Planet X idea was Mark Hazlewood, a former member of the ZetaTalk community, who in 2001 published a book: Blindsided: Planet X Passes in 2003. Lieder would later accuse him of being a confidence trickster.

the gartman letter. when we spoke last week you were overly negative on gold. what happened since then that causes you to make what you are saying is a water shed moment to go the other way? what did you see? as markets change it's always a technical circumstance, rarely is it fundamental change that gives you a shift in sentiment. you had ab jekt panic, throwing overboard of positions. you had the commercials on the future's market having their smallest net short position almost to the point of being net long that we've seen in many, many years. you had market vains bullish number lower than we've seen in several years and gold down 27%. when you read the newspapers all you got were bearish implications for gold. that's the sense that gives you a turn around and i think you've had it. you're talking about technicals and saying the fundamentals had to have changed. we sat on the desk last monday and you said gold is going dem on stra blee lower. you said there's no more easy monetary policy and you said other commodities are falling and they're falling on the back of zero global demand. i'm curious what the call is. tim, you did go lower from last monday until thursday you went 85, 95 lower. what has changed fundamentally? probably nothing. but you did have a technical circumstance that changed. i'll pay attention. i've been at this a long time. i want to see the technical sirkz that changed. that's the first things that happens. the fundamentals will follow later. and perhaps i'm wrong, i have been wrong before, i could be wrong again. i think what happened on monday -- so i agree with you. the psychology last monday night and that's why i think it's important we tell people that monday night people thought the world was coming to an end, the fed was running out the door. that was an overreaction. and that didn't happen. i think it's important that with gold and things that are so fed driven and sentiment has been so moved by the fed that are we saying that the fed is now out of the picture? i'm curious if that's implied in what you're doing. the fed is going to be out. the fed has told us they're going to be out of the picture but the fed is not going to be out of the picture in september. the fed is not going to be out until the end of the 2015. the monetary bases is increasing. it's bortherred me how severe has been the increase in the monetary base over the course of the last six months. the fed is still there. i don't think this is going to be an inflationary circumstance. i think all you have is to gold is another currency. it's ancillary to the dollar. the dollar is number one. gold is probably the second most important currency in the world right now. you and i got into a discussion last monday about the aussie. it's absolutely where it was last monday. i'm bullish. you're bearish and we are dead break even. i will tell you i actually said said -- the aussie is oversold. it goes to 9350 and i sell it again. dennis, what is water shed mean in terms of dollar terms? where does gold then go between now and the end of the year and also because sentiment was so negative don't you worry at least somewhat that you're get selling into any strength that we see and that's go going -- you got up to 1260 at one time. you broke it back down. there's going to be sellers of the gold on any rally. that's normal. i use the term water shed very rarely. it's the term i use when i'm making a change in sentiment. where does it go from here? higher, probably several hundred dollars higher. the risk reward is probably to the down side $75. to the upside 3 or $400 higher. so at 1255 you wouldn't be surprised to say by the end of the year we're at 16? is that doesn't seem that far fetched? that doesn't seem far fetched to me at all. that would still be $300 lower than its high. if i'm going to be bullish of gold i'm going to be a buyer of gold and a seller of yen. if you had done that over the course of the last two and a half years you're down. if you bought gold in yen terms you're down two percent. that's a good overperformance. because we know that opinions in position can change you told

 Author L.A. Marzulli discussed his latest research on the evidence of UFOs that fly with impunity in our skies and offered an explanation of the Bethlehem star of 2000 years ago. There is a preponderance of physical evidence for the ET/UFO phenomenon, and the number of sightings are on the rise, he said. He contended that alien beings do not come from other planets but are rather interdimensional or supernatural beings, who are nonetheless physical.

Fallen angels, who might have been 30 ft. tall giants, created the Nephilim (aliens or the Watchers) by mating with human women, he outlined, adding they may have also constructed huge megalithic structures like the one at Baalbek. Marzulli also touched on prophecies in the Book of Revelation, and his theory that aliens will offer a chip that "will be the greatest Trojan horse in the history of mankind," extending human life by hundreds of years.

Rather than a UFO or mothership, he suggested the Star of Bethlehem was a rare conjunction of the planet Jupiter next to the star Regulus. A group of priests in Babylon, the Magi, who were the kingmakers of the ancient world, observed this in this sky and determined an important event was about to take place. This coincided with Jesus' birth, which he said was actually Sept. 11, 3 AD. The reason Christmas is celebrated on December 25th has more to do with mirroring the ancient Roman holiday of Saturnalia, he explained.

Contactees are persons who claim to have experienced contact with extraterrestrials. Contactees have typically reported that they were given messages or profound wisdom by extraterrestrial beings. These claimed encounters are often described as ongoing, but some contactees claim to have had as few as a single encounter.

As a cultural phenomenon, contactees perhaps had their greatest notoriety from the late 1940s to the late 1950s, but individuals continue to make similar claims in the present. Some have shared their messages with small groups of followers, and many have issued newsletters or spoken at UFO conventions.

A genetically modified organism (GMO) or engineered organism (GEO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. These techniques, generally known as recombinant DNA technology, use DNA molecules from different sources, which are combined into one molecule to create a new set of genes. The Evidence for Bigfoot ~ Dr. Jeff Meldrum

Scientist, author and expert in human locomotor adaptations, Jeffrey Meldrum discussed evidence for an actual biological species behind the legend of Bigfoot.

Meldrum provided an analysis of the 1967 Patterson film. Based on the creature's movements and photos of footprints and casts taken at the site, he thinks the film shows a real animal. Some of the best physical evidence for Bigfoot are footprint casts, Meldrum explained.

He talked about Bigfoot scat (droppings) as well, and how they could be used to show what Bigfoot eat, locate where they are ranging, and provide DNA samples of the creature.

Meldrum also commented on the Jacobs Photos taken in Pennsylvania on September 16, 2007, which some believe could show a young Sasquatch. He said the creature may be a bear with mange or a chimpanzee.

Dr. Jeff Meldrum is an Associate Professor of Anatomy and Anthropology at Idaho State University. He is also an Affiliate Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at the Idaho Museum of Natural History and Affiliate Curator of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization. Dr. Meldrum has been investigating the ways monkeys, apes and human ancestors get around, or locomote, for nearly fifteen years. Some of his research has focused on the way in which the human foot has adapted to the habit of walking on two feet (bipedalism).

Bigfoot, also known as sasquatch, is the name given to an ape-like creature that some people believe inhabits forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. The term sasquatch is an anglicized derivative of the Halkomelem word sásq'ets.

Bigfoot is described in reports as a large hairy ape-like creature, in a range of 6--10 feet
(2--3 m) tall, weighing in excess of 500 pounds (230 kg), and covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair. Self-styled witnesses have described large eyes, a pronounced brow ridge, and a large, low-set forehead; the top of the head has been described as rounded and crested, similar to the sagittal crest of the male gorilla. Bigfoot is commonly reported to have a strong, unpleasant smell by those who claim to have encountered it. The enormous footprints for which it is named have been as large as 24 inches (60 cm) long and 8 inches (20 cm) wide. While most casts have five toes — like all known apes — some casts of alleged Bigfoot tracks have had numbers ranging from two to six. Some have also contained claw marks, making it likely that a portion came from known animals such as bears, which have five toes and claws. Some proponents have claimed that Bigfoot is omnivorous and mainly nocturnal.

Various types of creatures have been suggested to explain both the sightings and what type of creature Bigfoot would be if it existed. The scientific community typically attributes
sightings to either hoaxes or misidentification of known animals and their tracks. While
cryptozoologists generally explain Bigfoot as an unknown ape, some believers in Bigfoot
attribute the phenomenon to UFOs or other paranormal causes. A minority of proponents
of a natural explanation have attributed Bigfoot to animals that are not apes such as the
giant ground sloth.

Bigfoot proponents Grover Krantz and Geoffrey Bourne believe that Bigfoot could be a relict population of Gigantopithecus. Bourne contends that as most Gigantopithecus fossils are found in China, and as many species of animals migrated across the Bering land bridge, it is not unreasonable to assume that Gigantopithecus might have as well.

Some suggest Neanderthal, Homo erectus, or Homo heidelbergensis to be the creature, but no remains of any of those species have been found in the Americas.

MICHIO KAKU ~ Atomic weapons, Environment, Genetic's, Technology & Parallel Worlds

Art Bell returned for an in-depth conversation with scientist and author Michio Kaku, covering such topics as atomic weapons, the environment, genetic experimentation, future technology, parallel worlds, and cosmology. We've already passed one point of no return-- the melting of the North Pole; this will change the way our descendants experience the planet, Kaku declared. The polar melting will cause more release of methane, possibly setting up a "positive feedback loop" that will further warm up tundras, he explained.

The genome of Neanderthals has been mostly mapped out, and an egg created from their DNA could potentially be gestated in a chimpanzee, in order to recreate a Neanderthal, Kaku noted, adding that no laws are in place yet to guide this kind of mind-boggling experimentation. On the technology front, he pointed out that by 2020 when Moore's Law of computing power has reached its peak, the subsequent stagnation could lead to an economic depression. However, if quantum computing is successfully developed, it could offer a leap forward in sophistication and ability.

Nanotechnology, he said, holds out promise to revolutionize medicine. For instance, nanobots could be injected to kill individual cancer cells. Parallel universes could co-exist with us, such as in our own living rooms, said Kaku, though there is an astronomically small chance we would ever enter into one of these worlds. More and more, cosmologists and physicists are warming to the multiverse idea, and the notion that our universe may have been created by a collision with another bubble universe, he shared.

Biography:

Dr. Michio Kaku is an internationally recognized authority in theoretical physics and the environment. He holds the Henry Semat Professorship in Theoretical Physics at the City College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He has lectured around the world and his Ph.D. level textbooks are required reading at many of the top physics laboratories. Dr. Kaku graduated from Harvard in 1968, summa cum laude, and number one in his physics class.

He received a Ph.D. from the University. of California at Berkeley Radiation Laboratory in 1972. He held a lectureship at Princeton University in 1973. He then joined the faculty at the City University of New York, where he has been a professor of theoretical physics for 25 years. His goal is to help complete Einstein's dream of a theory of everything, a single equation, perhaps no more than one inch long, which will unify all the fundamental forces in the universe.

Demons & Mystery Places with Rosemary Ellen Guiley

Rosemary Ellen Guiley talked about her research into demons, which she characterized as a broad class of interfering entities. She also gave an update on her investigations into a "Mystery Place," an undisclosed location that can be compared to the Skinwalker Ranch in Utah for its panoply of paranormal activity. Strange aerial lights, poltergeists, imp-like creatures, dark gray "blobby forms," and apparitions have all been seen or experienced on or near the property, she detailed.
