Boehner: Defunding Obamacare 'VICTORY' FOR AMERICAN PEOPLE
WASHINGTON — The House voted 230-189 along party lines Friday to approve a stopgap spending bill to fund the federal government through mid-December, but it is facing certain defeat in the Senate because it includes language aiming to dismantle President Obama's health care law.

Without a stopgap spending bill, the federal government will feel the effects of a shutdown when the fiscal year ends on Sept. 30. The bill extends the current rate of government spending at $986 billion a year.

House Republicans attached a provision to defund the Affordable Care Act, a consistent target of congressional Republicans. However, the provision has no chance of approval in the Democratic-controlled Senate and it faces a veto threat from Obama.

Next week, the Senate is expected to begin debate on the spending bill, where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., will strip out the health care language and send a bill back to the House that simply extends current spending.

If the Senate runs out the clock on the time for debate, the vote could come as late as next weekend, giving House GOP leaders less than 48 hours to respond.

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, has not committed to allowing a vote on a spending bill that does not address the health care law. House Republicans will then have three options: reject it, pass it or amend it and send it back to the Senate again.

The effects of a shutdown would not be immediately felt by most Americans. Essential government programs such as air traffic control, Social Security, Medicare and mail delivery would all continue, but national parks and museums would be closed, and agency operations would slow down or stop. The White House and the U.S. Congress would continue to operate as well.

But the political risks are great. The last time the government shut down was during the Clinton administration in a budget battle against Republicans led by then-speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., which resulted in a public backlash against the GOP.

Boehner has said Republicans are not seeking a government shutdown, but eye it as an opportunity to start a broader offensive against the health care law. Republicans are also seeking to delay the implementation of the law for one year in exchange for raising the debt ceiling, the nation's borrowing limit.

Bank of China to Answer Terror Financing Charges in New York

A New York court has ruled that the Bank of China will face trial on accusations that it knowingly transferred money to terrorist organizations, and that the funds were used in deadly terror attacks in Israel between 2004 and 2007.

The Bank of China is owned by the Chinese government, and is one of China's four major banks. It's being sued by 50 people, including victims of those Israeli terrorist attacks and their family.They say the Bank of China allowed millions of dollars to be transferred to Hamas and the Palestine Islamist Jihad - both of which are known terrorist groups.

So here's how it all worked: The funds came from terrorist leaders in Iran and Syria and were sent through the US to a Bank of China account in Beijing. That account was operated by senior operatives of the terrorist groups who then transferred them to leaders in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. The funds were then allegedly used in the terror attacks.

According to the plaintiffs, The Bank of China was warned by Israeli authorities in 2005, and asked to prevent the funding, but the bank didn't listen.



In 2008, the plaintiffs filed the lawsuit with the New York Supreme Court. Bank of China argued it never knew the money was used in terror financing, and asked the court to dismiss the case in 2011. Just this August, Israeli media reported that a former Israeli defense staff, who was a key witness in this case, indicated that he was, quote, "inclined to testify" in the case. The witness, identified as Uzi Shaya says he was at those meetings between officials from Israel, China and the Bank of China. In court documents, he says that Israeli officials did indeed warn the Bank of China about the terrorist funding.

There were earlier reports that the Israeli government may have pressured Shaya not to testify in the case, in order to keep a good relationship with the Chinese regime. If he testifies without the approval of the Israeli government, then he could be committing a criminal offense - because he obtained that information while working as a government employee. However, in a letter sent to lawyers representing the terror victims' families, Shaya reportedly said that his moral commitment to fighting terrorism made him inclined to testify, even if the government banned him.

Whether or not the Israeli government will agree to his testimony and whether Shaya will be testifying in court remains to be seen. But after this week's ruling by the New York Appellate Court, it is certain that Bank of China will have to answer these terror-financing charges in court.

John B. Wells shared news issues of the day and hosted a night of Open Lines, with a listener focus on chemtrails. John in Wilmington, North Carolina, reported on heavy chemtrail activity in his area. "We seem to be getting hammered... all day, every day and it's been going on for months," he said, lamenting how the famous North Carolina blue sky has turned into a baby blue/milky white color. John also pondered the possible composition of these airborne trails. John B. interjected with his own story of witnessing chemtrail activity over Pasadena, California, and finding "white goo" on his windshield that was difficult to clean.
Lynn described seeing chemtrail patterns in the skies above Orange County, California, and suggested the aerial phenomenon was somehow connected to the unusual heat wave that hit her region as well as the massive flooding in Colorado. The chemtrail conversation continued with Barry in South Carolina, who recalled watching "a stream of chemicals or some kind of fluid" coming out of the back of a plane he saw flying overhead. The stream was coming from the back of the plane, not out of the engines, he remembered. Barry said he observed a strange film on his home's decking afterward and would be collecting samples for testing.
Scott told John B. about chemtrail spraying his family has witnessed over the Missouri Ozarks for the past two years. According to Scott, whenever heavy chemtrail patterns appear in the sky it rains within 36 hours. He said the town in this area, Warrensburg, has experienced greater weather extremes than any other U.S. city. A caller named Wendy shared an account of another kind of unusual aerial activity in her region. Apparently, flocks of geese numbering in the thousands have begun flying south already. Wendy wondered if the birds knew something that we should also know. Wendy also recounted the time she heard the barking sounds of her deceased dog.

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale has been recorded near the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant. There are no reports of damage to destroyed facilities and no spike in radiation levels in the area.
The earthquake took place at 17:25 GMT, according to United States Geological Service (USGS) which measured the quake at 5.3. The Japan Meteorological Agency, however,  put the quake at magnitude 5.8.

Power grid vulnerabilities are finally garnering some attention by government officials.

An electrical grid joint drill simulation is being planned in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Thousands of utility workers, FBI agents, anti-terrorism experts, governmental agencies, and more than 150 private businesses are involved in the November power grid drill.

The downed power grid simulation will reportedly focus on both physical and cyber attacks. The antiquated electrical system in the United States has been one of the most neglected pieces of integral infrastructure.

In the unlikely event of an EMP attack, it seems that nearly everyone from former DHS director, Janet Napolitano to former CIA director, James Woolsey have discussed the possibility of a grid take down through an EMP attack.

Further, the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Commission in their,NERC PowerPoint presentation, stated that one of the possible outcomes of an attack will be a "prolonged blackout..."

If an adversary lands a knockout blow, [experts] fear, it could black out vast areas of the continent for weeks; interrupt supplies of water, gasoline, diesel fuel and fresh food; shut down communications; and create disruptions of a scale that was only hinted at by Hurricane Sandy and the attacks of Sept. 11," The Times said.

If the power grid fails, a lack of electricity and food delivery are only the first wave of troubles facing the American people. Police could face major problems with civil unrest. Of course, there also would not be any electric heating or cooling, which easily could lead to many deaths depending on the season.

"Of particular concern are giant custom-built transformers that increase the voltage of electricity to levels suited for bulk transmission and then reduce voltage for distribution to customers," The Times said in a summary of the report. "... Replacing them can take many months."

A high level source inside the military has now confirmed to us that Dyess Air Force base is actively moving nuclear warheads to the East Coast of the United States in a secret transfer that has no paper trail.

According to the high level military source, who has a strong record of continually being proven correct in deep military activity, the Dyess Air Force Commander authorized unknown parties to transfer the nuclear warheads to an unknown location that has been reported to be South Carolina, where the warheads will then be picked up and potentially utilized.

"Dyess is beginning to move out nuclear war heads today. I got a tap from DERMO earlier. He said it was the first time they have been even acknowledged since being put there in the 80′s. No signature was required for transfer... There was no directive. He said that Dyess Commander was on site to give authority to release.

The fact that this transfer was not signed for and there were no papers is key. It shows how the military is now secretly operating with the transfer of nuclear weapons, and what's more, we know that DERMO (a military base in Florida) is a hotbed of special operations. Why is DERMO operating the nuclear warheads out of Dyess Air Force base with no paper trail? This shows that this is a highly secretive, black ops style move here that the military does not want on record.

Homeless Westerners on the Rise in Thailand

The number of homeless westerners living on the streets of Thailand is increasing with many choosing to stay in the country despite their situation, a Thai charity says.

The number of homeless westerners in Thailand grew in 2013, a Thai non-profit organization said, putting the current figure at around 200.

The Issarachon Foundation was founded in 1996 and specializes in improving the quality of life of homeless residents in Thailand including providing educational services and healthcare needs.

It reported earlier in September that many homeless westerners separated from their Thai wives and were kicked out of their own homes.

Since their property was bought in their Thai wives' names, they cannot legally fight to stay.

In other cases, homeless foreigners suffer from mental illnesses or from drug or alcohol abuse, said the foundation.

Shelter volunteers from Baan Mitmaithree of Pattaya, located in the popular beach town known for its sex industry, walked the streets on Tuesday looking for anyone needing assistance.

[Stephen Francis Quinn, 59-Year Old Citizen from the United Kingdom]:
"I need to go home for health, I know that. I need to go home for health. I like it here because I've got many friends who help me now. Many friends. I'm not sure what I want anymore."

Quinn has been living on the streets of Pattaya for over two years.

The fee for a foreigner overstaying their visa in Thailand is 16 dollars a day with a maximum penalty of 630 dollars.

Shelter volunteers say many cannot afford to pay.

The law states that shelters cannot assist homeless people living in Thailand illegally unless it is an emergency, under those conditions they can be housed for 15 days.

[Rungnapha Noirakthong, Volunteer, Baan Mitmaithree Shelter, Pattaya]:
"Most of the homeless foreigners overstay their visa, so they are here illegally. And since they're illegal and if we help them, that means we're breaking the law too. But for humanitarian reasons, we take care of them as needed."

Many of the homeless survive by begging or asking friends for money.

One North Carolina native, who has a brother living in New York City, says his wife threw him out of home and he has no plans to return.

[Sylvester Ancram, Homeless]:
"It's a lot less stress here, you know, and I'm more comfortable here than I am at home. I don't have to worry about gunshots and all those crazy stuff like this and I'm just comfortable here."

43-year old Theunis Jalte de Yong from the Netherlands, who also sleeps on the streets, has a similar story.

De Yong says he cannot go back to his native Holland because his Thai wife and children are in Thailand.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports says over 22-million tourists visited Thailand in 2012, setting a new record.

Thailand has a continuous increase of western retirees settling permanently in the country because of its hot climate and low living costs.
