Nearly 90 Million Americans No Longer In The Labor Force
A record 90 million Americans who are no longer even looking for work.Boomers retiring really is a big chunk of this. This is actually bad news though, because these people aren't going back to work under any circumstances apart from imminent starvation. In other words, the labor participation rate will necessarily continue to fall. Good luck paying for SS/Mcare.
