James Turk sees Gold at $11,000/oz by 2013-2015

James Turk says another Lehman Brothers is coming before the end of the year just like in 2008 , but this time around the sell offs are more driven by fears investors are making sure their assets are safe rather than any liquidity concerns and this kind of environment James Turk expects Gold and Silver to do the opposite of what they did in 2008 when they got sold with everything else , the collapse of MF global is still playing out in the paper market but the people what are accumulating gold and silver and have been accumulating gold and silver for the past decade they do not really care of what's going on in the paper markets ...regarding Europe James Turk says he expects it to breakup in the next few years in some form he just do not see how it could work ....The European politicians made a mistake with Greece when they decided that it could not go bankrupt what that did it essentially opened the Pandora box ...Europe generally will continue to spin out of control , the Euro is very problematic it just cannot survive from the longer time perspective , there are too many fragile breakpoints that could cause it to fall apart ....right now we are in a 'managed retreat for Gold' , every bull market has three stages the first stage is apathy and neglect no one is paying attention and that what happened before gold broke to $1000/oz , we are now in stage two , the big dramatic moves won't come until we got into stage three that;'s when the speculators start jumping in and and your neighbor start telling you to buy gold you know that kind of thing , that's down the road that's 2013 - 2015 , the interesting thing about silver is that it is still at stage one it won't get to stage two until it breaks the $50/oz that's probably going to happen in the first half of the next year ....

Eric Sprott on The Munich Precious Metals conference

Eric Sprott, Chairman of Sprott Asset Management, and James Turk, Director of the GoldMoney Foundation, meet in Munich and talk about the Munich Precious metals conference .They comment on Eric Sprott's speech at the conference and how increasing interventions by central banks, from zero interest rates to money printing and bond buying have completely distorted the financial markets. They also talk about Sprott PHYS and PSLV and how they allow holders the option to redeem their physical metal, unlike most other ETFs .They talk about Eric’s book and how his analysis shows that the US government, with a GDP of 15 trillion, has liabilities of almost 80 trillion and that these promises will be broken just as the Greek government is breaking its commitments. This interview was recorded on November 4th 2011 in Munich.

James Turk sees silver to $75 in weeks

Silver in an imminent move to $60-$75 an ounce says James Turk . Reed Larsen, CEO of American Gold Reserve, asks James Turk, Founder of the GoldMoney Foundation, "Why have we seen sharp price movements in gold and silver recently? The move from $16 to $49 from Aug 2010 to May 2011 was crazy stuff so we'll see if it happens again. Load up and if it dips we just buy more.

When is the right time to buy gold and silver?

Reed Larsen, CEO of American Gold Reserve, asks James Turk, Director of the GoldMoney Foundation , "When is the right time to buy gold and silver?" James Turk recommends to buy gold and silver whenever you can regardless of the price , he warns about currency devaluation and the rising gold price. How the gold price is rising against all major currencies and monetary policy is political, having abandoned all pretence of seeking monetary stability. He warns of the dangers of a hyperinflationary crisis. James also explains why gold should be considered money and not an investment. He also talks of the coming dollar collapse and the waterfall decline in the dollar, especially since Ben Bernanke's words on QE. He talks of different examples of hyperinflation from paper money hyperinflation in Weimar Germany to deposit currency hyperinflation in Argentina.

James Turk on Goldseek Radio - Sep. 6, 2011

James Turk : ..there is so much nervousness about the fragility of the banking system pretty much globally , everybody knows that the Banks are over leveraged have a lot of bad debt and therefore they are worried about their deposits , in this kind of environment Gold is always going to do well ....we are in the second stage of the Gold bull market , this is the longest and most powerful stage and as gold prices continues to rise it attracts increasing attention and people who have nort been gold buyers before are attracted to the gold market as they are going to learn the advantages the gold has to offer

James Turk : Silver may outperform Gold in the coming weeks

James Turk, Aug 15: “I think this is going to be a good week for silver. A lot of hedge funds bought gold & sold silver last week; I think some of those spreads are going to unwind. Silver has been holding support here &getting ready to follow gold up. My expectation is that silver is going to outperform gold this week, which would be the first time that has happened in a few weeks." Peter Schiff on Aug 16th- "Relentless Rise in Gold will Continue, this is a one way trip for gold." ... “I think silver is a good buy. Silver has kind of been restrained a little bit, but now as gold is rising and silver is getting pretty cheap on a ratio basis, silver is a good buy here.” A respectable & plausible analysis .Silver gets manipulated downward(once again) to spark major Silver selloffs to get into gold. While the suckers will still do fine in gold with the dollar crashing, the real performer is about to be silver. Insiders are scooping it up at what will be seen in the future as bargain prices. Sounds crazy right? Remember this post .No doubt silver is going to explode in the end

James Turk : next week is going to be a big week for silver

James Turk : Gold is starting to become the go to asset , people are starting to recognize the advantages that gold has over fiat currencies and it sort of followed up from the debt deal which was received very badly around the world , and the FED announcement that they will keep interest rates low for another two years ....we have seen a lot of volatility in the market but the main thing is the trend in both gold and silver is still up , may be next week is going to be a big week for silver

James Turk : Gold is still undervalued by all my historical measures

James Turk : "It is hard to predict short term targets , all you need to be focusing on is to continue accumulating in this bull market and focus on where the bull market is going , itis always going to go much further than you expect it probably going to last longer than you and I expect and go higher than I expect , but just continue to accumulate , Gold should be higher than $2000 by now but because of the government intervention and anti gold propaganda by the government Gold is still undervalued even though the price have been rising it is still undervalued by all of my historical measures it is not quite as undervalued as it was ten years ago but it is still very undervalued because what's happening over the last ten years is that even though the price of gold has gone up the dollar has been debased by inflation and all kind of crazy things that the central banks and banks are doing to mismanage the dollar , so focus on the long term , focus not so much the price of gold but whether it is a gold value or not and it is a good value under numerical basis based on all my historical measures it is also good value because of its usefulness as a tangible asset , it is a monetary asset that does not have counter-party risk so I think that's important too"

"I am more bullish on Silver than I am on Gold that's why I think the ratio is going to go down to 20 ounces of silver to an ounce of Gold in the long term from 40 ounces of silver to one ounce of Gold at present , Silver will outperform gold , the problem with silver though is there is more volatility to it than it is to Gold and as a a consequence volatility is not for everyone but if you are prepared to accept that volatility I think you have two third of your assets your monetary assets your precious metals assets two thirds in Gold and one third in Silver

James Turk : Gold got all the momentum behind it now

James Turk : I think Gold got all the momentum behind it now , we have taking at the $1600 level and yet we have not even stopped there we sort of just moving right through it as if there was not any resistance at all , it is understandable why it is going up AL there are so many problems out there . monetary problems banking problems financial problems the sovereign debt crisis I could go on and on but you got the point , it is must better to own physical gold than it is to be involved in any national currencies at the moment
$1640 and $1650 within the next few days is a reasonable target there seem to be that much buying power behind it , so until anything changes worldwide in terms of improving the financial situation and that's not likely to happen any time soon you got to continue to hold gold and I think more and more people are starting to understand that which is why they are buying

James Turk : The gold price and the Fiat Money

James Turk :  "...right now the dollar depends only on confidence and confidence is very fragile we are starting to see confidence erode internationally , you know the dollar has been in a major downturn for several years we are seeing precious metal prices going up we are seeing commodity prices going up food prices indexes are record high all of these things suggest to me that there is too much money being created by the federal reserve and indeed all central banks around the world and people are taking that money and putting it in things of usefulness , real commodities that have tangible value , useful value , so I think we are very close I think we are going to see some major upheaval within the next year " James Turk of the GoldMoney Foundation speaks about currency devaluation and the rising gold price. How the gold price is rising against all major currencies and monetary policy is political, having abandoned all pretense of seeking monetary stability.

James Turk : gold and silver prices will explode this summer

James Turk of goldmoney.com on the Kerry Lutz - July 18, 2011

James Turk : " ... I made a contrary call because normally gold and silver are pretty quite during the summer months , because it is a seasonal pattern that tends to repeat , but it does not always work that way " says James Turk " I keep going back to 1982 when gold prices rose 50 percent in three months during the Mexican debt default and my point has been is this summer is going to be a repeat of 1982 it is not Mexico that is going to default this time it is going to be somebody else whether it is Greece United Kingdom Belgium Italy Spain United States Japan or anyone of a dozen other countries who knows , but it looks like it is gonna be a good couple of months for the metals as people worry about the default and move into the security of gold and silver "....."there are two assets types , tangible assets and financial assets and what's happening as you go through a bust , financial assets financial assets lose value , promesses are broken and people move to tangible assets of all sorts and the most liquid of tangible assets is of course gold and silver , so it is not too surprising that we see gold at a new record high this morning and silver approaching back that January 1880 all time record high , i expect new highs in the precious metals as we go forward because this bust that we are in still has few more years ......"

James Turk we are heading towards a summer of all records for Gold and silver prices

James Turk of goldmoney.com on the Kerry Lutz - July 18, 2011 : " we are at $1600for gold and silver is back in the $40 , I made a contrary call because normally gold and silver are pretty quite during the summer months , because it is a seasonal pattern that tends to repeat , but it does not always work that way " says James Turk " I keep going back to 1982 when gold prices rose 50 percent in three months during the Mexican debt default and my point has been is this summer is going to be a repeat of 1982 it is not Mexico that is going to default this time it is going to be somebody else whether it is Greece United Kingdom Belgium Italy Spain United States Japan or anyone of a dozen other countries who knows , but it looks like it is gonna be a good couple of months for the metals as people worry about the default and move into the security of gold and silver ".....

James Turk : QE3 is inevitable

James Turk of Goldmoney on Goldseek Radio July 12, 2011 : " to me it seems inevitable , the US government is spending more money than the market is willing to lend to it , that means that you will have to the central bank and the central bank turns that borrowing into currency which the government spends or the government has to cut back and there is no indication whatsoever that the US government is going to cut back at any of its spending aspirations I mean it can't even agree to cutting the spending in the future when in fact what it should be doing is cutting spending right here and now , so it seems to me that QE3 is inevitable and ultimately that's going to destroy the dollar to more inflation if not hyperinflation "..." this is the summer that could surprise people , to me it is setting up like the summer of 1982 when gold soared during the Mexican debt default , Mexico is not the center of attention now obviously it's Europe Greece Spain Italy anyone amongst a dozen of countries around the world who have too much debt and are over leveraged , but people think the summer is going to be a quite time , going to the beach , seasonally gold often slows during the summer , I think this is going to be a summer again like 1982 really surprises people , so I am very bullish here and the fact that this correction that we had over the last couple of months driven a record amount of people out of the market suggest to me how strong the metals have been during this correction ..."

James Turk : Silver to continue outperforming Gold

James Turk : ...when you are accumulating gold you are saving sound money , savings are always a good thing and it is particularly good when you are saving sound money as you are preserving your purchasing power over a long period of time , you are accumulating wealth in that regard , the key question is , is gold still a good value and even if the price has relatively rising quite a bit gold is still undervalued , the policy this decade of still continue accumulating still holds it is still valid ....James Turk says that his previous forecast for Gold at $8000 by 2013 2015 seems a bit conservative , gold prices may go even higher , silver is a little bit different from Gold says Turk because there is a lot of volatility with silver we 've seen it particularly in post Lehman collapse when silver got hit particularly badly compared to gold , silver bounced back quite strongly in 2009 than gold did over the past ten years silver has done very very well I think it will continue to outperform Gold , the gold silver ratio at the moment is about 63 or 64 the start base is about 20 ounces of silver to purchase an ounce of gold and I think over the next several years we gonna see the gold silver ratio fall toward that level , so if you can handle the volatility a little of silver in your portfolio makes sense as a general rule have may be two third of gold and one third in silver
