Michael Rivero is the webmaster of http://whatreallyhappened.com/ and host of the What Really Happened radio shows on the Republic Broadcasting Network. Formerly with NASA, Michael transitioned his image processing skills (along with a brief stint as an actor) into the then-new motion picture computer animation field and has worked on films such as "Star Trek", "The Day After Tomorrow", and has supervised visual effects on "Brainscan," "LOST", and "Hawaii Five-0." Michael has taken a sabbatical from film work to focus all his efforts on peace activism. Michaels foray into blogging began before the word was even invented, and happened almost by accident when he spotted a suspicious photograph being broadcast on ABC news in 1994 related to the death of White House deputy Council Vincent Foster. Since that sudden beginning, Michaels website has expanded to cover diverse topics including the JFK assassination, the accidental shoot-down of TWA 800, election fraud, health issues, Saddams non-existent nuclear weapons, 9-11, the economy, and of course, the lies used to trick the United States into wars of conquest on Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran. Michael resides in Hawaii with his wife Claire, who is a composer and creates much of theme music used on the What Really Happened radio show.

Alex covers the move toward war against Syria following a questionable chemical attack on this Thursday, August 22 edition of the Alex Jones Show. Alex talks about the suspicious character of the alleged attack in Damascus, including telltale signs a video of victims may be staged, and Russia's contention the entire event is an orchestrated provocation and a false flag event. Alex also covers news that Michael Hastings, the assassinated journalist who went after the Pentagon and the CIA, feared his Mercedes was tampered with prior to the "accident" that claimed his life. On today's show, Alex welcomes back in-studio San Antonio attorney Jamie Balagia, co-author of Texas DWI Survival Guide: A Citizen's Protection Manual, a book designed to help protect the average citizen from over zealous DWI enforcement. Gold ignores Fed minutes in favor of China data

Everyone was clearly convinced the Fed was going to provide, with absolute clarity, what they were thinking in regard to tapering. This is despite them failing to do so every other time markets thought they might do just this.

Obviously the FOMC minutes did not provide any further clues as to when the bond buying program might be scaled back. The general sentiment of the board was that more data was required and, for some, that it might be too soon to begin tapering. Despite this many believe the minutes indicated that the Fed ‘remained on track’ to scale back purchases should conditions remain the same.

The gold price didn’t really care, before or after the release. In the run-up to the minutes it fluctuated between gains and losses and post-release it originally gained in the first few minutes but then fell very slightly. The SPDR Gold Trust gained 0.5%, despite seeing outflows.

Prior to the FOMC minutes, volumes of the Shanghai Gold Exchange climbed to 10,926kg for gold of 99.99 percent purity, their highest level since August 2nd.
