Matt Taibbi joined Mark Ames in 1997 to co-edit the controversial English-language Moscow-based, bi-weekly free newspaper, The eXile. The FTC recently issued a release stating that TRENDnet, a company that markets video cameras to allow people to monitor their homes and babies remotely, was lax in their security measures, and as a result, hundreds of their customers' homes and baby monitor streams were available online for the whole world to watch.
