9/9/13 - Ann Coulter joined Sean Hannity on Monday night to bash President Obama for a failure of leadership on Syria. Hannity called Obama "confused" and "wimpy," while Coulter derided the White House for thinking this is a simple Aaron Sorkin monologue away from being solved, adding that she believes Vladimir Putin has made Obama into a "monkey" on Syria.

Hannity found the day's events "embarrassing" for Obama, while Coulter acknowledged that Kerry's off-the-cuff comment about Syria handing over their chemical weapons was ver cleverly snatched up by Putin. Syrian Opposition Spokesman on CNN: 'There Are Some Bad Apples Among the Rebels'

9/9/13 - A Syrian opposition spokesman sat down with CNN anchor Jake Tapper on Monday where he was asked directly about reports that the rebel forces fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad are comprised primarily of Islamic extremists and Al Qaeda loyalists. He conceded that, while there are some "bad apples" fighting alongside the Syrian rebels, extremism does not characterize the entire opposition movement.

Tapper began by asking Syrian opposition spokesman Najib Ghadbian about Assad's suggestion to CBS host Charlie Rose on Monday that his government's effort to put down the Syrian rebellion is similar to a doctor amputating a gangrenous leg.

The CNN host added that rebel forces have been implicated in a number of brutal acts of violence themselves. "How do you answer -- how do you assuage these concerns of the American people that some of the rebels seem to be quite bad guys?" Tapper asked.

"I would start by saying yes, there are some bad apples among the rebels," Ghadbian conceded. "But the gangrene — subject of the gangrene — has been 120,000 Syrians killed by this regime, seven million displaced or made into refugees, 1.2 million houses destroyed by the Assad regime."

"How many bad apples are we talking about?" Tapper asked.

"It's a very small percentage," Ghadbian replied. "The estimate by the Free Syrian Army: less than 6 percent. Of those fighters, 160,000 are extremists — extremists that espouse the kind of ideology that we don't subscribe to."

"They want an Islamic state which is something different vision from the coalition and the SMC," he concluded.

Judge Andrew Napolitano: Barack Obama Can Be Indicted as War Criminal If He Strikes Syria - 9/9/13

9/9/13 - Fox News - The pressure to strike Syria is really heating up for President Obama (even if there now appears to be a way out), but it might not necessarily be legal to do so. Judge Andrew Napolitano reiterated as much to Shepard Smith on Tuesday, saying this time that if Obama strikes Syria, he could very well be declared a war criminal by the European Union.

Napolitano walked through all the ways the United States could exercise authority under international law, from a retaliatory attack to preempting a "dangerously imminent" attack on American soil. Even intervening when a nation has violated an international agreement they are partner to is okay, the problem being that Syria never signed the Chemical Weapons Convention.

Napolitano warned that if Obama proceeds anyway, the consequences could be particularly dire for him.

"The president runs the risk of being declared a war criminal by a magistrate in the EU.... If they indict him as a war criminal, an indictment for which there's no statute of limitations, after he leaves the White House, he can't go to Europe for fear of having to confront this."

Any US strike against Syria is considered a war crime under the UN Charter against aggressive war, an international lawyer tells Press TV. "Any attack by the United States upon Syria would be a violation of the UN Charter prohibition against aggressive war, which is the more serious [form] of war crimes," said Alfred Lambremont Webre in a Tuesday interview. He argued that according to the Nuremberg principles, which set the guideline for the definition of war crimes, the US "is starting an aggressive war against another nation." Webre described US President Barack Obama's decision to seek a congressional authorization for an attack against Syria as an attempt to "get some political cover and some legal cover behind him." "Under international law, the US Congress cannot sanction or provide legal cover to any attack by the US," the legal expert noted. The call for military action against Syria intensified after foreign-backed opposition forces accused the government of President Bashar al-Assad of launching a chemical attack on militant strongholds in the suburbs of Damascus on August 21. On Saturday, Obama said he would seek a congressional authorization for an attack against Syria as Washington "cannot and will not turn a blind eye" to an alleged chemical attack in the Arab state. The Obama administration has, however, said it "has the right" to attack Syria even if the Congress does not approve the measure. Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. Missiles of the R-36M/SS-18 family have never been deployed with more than ten warheads. But given their large throw-weight (8.8 tonnes is the official START number), it is easy to see that they can be made to car More..ry much more than that. That was something that the United States worried quite a bit in the 1970s. And, as it turns out, rightly so.
Among the projects that the Soviet Union considered in the mid-1970s was that of a 15A17 missile a follow-on to the R-36MUTTH (15A18). The missile would have had even larger throw-weight 9.5 tonnes and would be able to carry quite a few warheads. Five different versions of the missile were considered. Three of these would carry regular warheads 38 (yes, its thirty eight!) with the yield of 250kt each, 24 500kt warheads, or 15 to 17 1Mt ones. Two modifications were supposed to carry guided warheads (upravlyaemaya golovnaya chast) 28x250kt or 19x500kt.

Mod 3 of the R-36M is capable of carrying one 25 megaton "city buster" warhead, Making it more than enough to destroy any big megalopolis or any hardened base such as NORAD.

Mod 4 - The R-36M Mod 4 carries at least 10 MIRVs (750Kt) and a lot of dummy warheads.

The R-36 (SS-9) is a two-stage rocket powered by a liquid bipropellant, with UDMH as fuel and nitrogen tetroxide as an oxidizer.

The missile has a maximum flight range of 11,000 kilometers (6,840 miles) and a launch weight of 211 metric tons.

Historian and UFO researcher Richard Dolan appeared in the first half of the 2nd hour to talk about Cameron's new book and aviator John Lear joined the conversation in the second half of the 3rd hour. Cameron observed that UFO revelations often follow a pattern where researchers examine the information, then it becomes discredited, and "everybody just drops the story" in search of the next big disclosure. However, he refuted the idea that these are patently false stories planted by the government and suggested that, in fact, they contain accurate information which is then smeared with disinformation via holes in the story that have been created ahead of time.

Furthering his thesis on these UFO disclosures, Cameron posited that the government is "putting the information out, but they are keeping the cover up going" by subsequently discrediting it. Additionally, he theorized that the era of UFO whistleblowers is over and anyone claiming to be such a witness is "working for them." To that end, he said that, since the government would easily be able to identify any 'anonymous' whistleblower, then the person must be revealing these secrets at the behest of the 'powers that be.' Cameron also contended that "all leaked documents are phony," because they are classified material and the government would swiftly arrest anyone who breached that official secrecy.

In the first half of the third hour, aviator John Lear joined the conversation to reflect on the Bob Lazar Area 51 revelations and how they may have fit into this plan of action by the government. He recalled how Lazar had been asked about his friendship with Lear during his second interview for the Area 51 job. As such, he surmised that the entire saga was initiated by the government, since they knew Lazar would eventually leak the information to him. While Cameron conceded that Lazar's academic history has been shown to be false, thus allowing for the government to dismiss his tale, he noted that the notorious whistleblower passed numerous lie detector tests and his accurate information about Area 51 is what allowed for the story to be revealed.

Appearing during the first half of the second hour, historian Richard Dolan, who is publishing Cameron's new book (co-authored with Scott Crain), called it "possibly the single best book, best I've ever read, dealing with inside government leaks from credible sources about the reality of the UFO phenomenon." 9/8/13 - Radio host Alex Jones spoke to Fox News' Geraldo At Large about the theory that the Syrian rebels were responsible for the recent chemical weapons attack in a ruse to provoke a U.S. intervention. "I don't know who launched the chemical attacks, but all the evidence leans toward the rebels having the motive to do it," Jones said. "And the Russians have put out a new report saying they have proof the rebels did it back in March of this year."

The Obama administration has been arguing that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad used the chemical weapons against his own citizens, to make the case to Congress for military intervention.

Producer Craig Rivera noted that Jones was a "conspiracy theorist," but asked if he at least wanted to see some evidence that the rebels had perpetrated the attacks.

"Come on, Obama is putting out conspiracy theories," Jones said. "He said I have a red line one year ago, now he said he never said that. Kerry said no boots on the ground, now he said, oh, we need them. Is questioning known liars a conspiracy theory?"
